Moscow intends to expand banking cooperation with Baku in national currencies, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov said at a press conference on Wednesday, TASS reports.
“According to the Declaration (on Allied Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation – Group)), we plan to expand banking cooperation in national currencies. “There are already positive steps in this direction,” he said.
The Russian diplomat noted that all existing contracts between the two countries will be fulfilled.
“Despite the current unstable foreign trade and economic relations between Russia and other countries, in the case of Azerbaijan, all contracts will be executed in full,” Bocharnikov added.
