Zelensky had a telephone conversation with Biden

Today, on 11 March, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden to tell him about the situation in the country during the hostilities. TASS News Agency reported.

“I had a substantive conversation with US President Joe Biden. I informed him of my assessment of the situation on the battlefield. We have agreed on Ukraine’s defense assistance and further steps to increase sanctions pressure on Russia,” he added.

It should be reminded that early in the morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine, aimed at ensuring the security of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as removing the “Nazi regime” in Ukraine.

The United States and the European Union have described Russia’s move as a direct aggression by Russia against Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
