A huge column of Russian troops stands near Kiev: Pentagon

According to the Pentagon, there is a huge column of Russian troops 25 kilometers from Kiev. ZN.UA reported.

It is noted that at the moment the column is not moving towards Kyiv. It is allegedly about a column with a length of several tens of kilometers. It was slowed down by Ukrainian attacks and the explosion of one of the bridges.

Also, Russian troops are located near Chernigov and Kharkov in the north of the country, but continue to advance in the south. At the same time, Mariupol remains under the control of Ukraine, and signs of an impending attack on Odessa have not yet been observed.

It should be reminded that in the early morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a message announcing the decision to launch a special military operation in Donbas.

“Circumstances require us to take decisive and immediate action. The Donbass People’s Republics have appealed to Russia. I have decided to launch a special military operation in this regard,” Putin said in a televised address to Russian citizens.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that from 5:00 a.m. (7:00 a.m. Yerevan time) on Thursday, the Russian Armed Forces carried out intensive attacks on Ukrainian military facilities and airports.

The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
