Azerbaijani opposition blogger found dead in Georgia

Azerbaijani opposition blogger Hussein Bakikhanov was killed in Georgia. The “Infoteka 24” reported referring to blogger Alexander Lapshin. According to the Russian-Israeli blogger Alexander Lapshin, citing his sources, Bakikhanov was pushed out from the window of his apartment, which he rented in Tbilisi.

Lapshin said that earlier the Azerbaijani oppositionist was persecuted in Azerbaijan. He was detained in Baku, where he was severely beaten by the police, demanding to publicly apologize to the dictator Ilham Aliyev for previously voiced criticism against him.

Fleeing from persecution, Bakikhanov fled to neighboring Georgia, where, however, the hands of the bloody regime also reached out. In Tbilisi, the blogger was attacked by several people and also severely beaten. He was hospitalized. However, Aliyev decided to shut up the criticism of the authorities forever. Bakikhanov was found dead under the windows of his apartment.

Georgian law enforcement agencies are delaying the investigation. There is an assumption that Azerbaijan influences the investigation, and the murder can be qualified as a suicide.
