Azerbaijan continues to persecute Armenian servicemen captured after the 9 November, 2020 statement.
The press service of the State Security Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office issued a joint statement today, stating that after the signing of the statement on 9 November, 2020, a group of Armenian citizens illegally acquired weapons and ammunition to form armed groups not provided by law.
According to the Azerbaijani side, the soldiers captured by them hid in one of the forests of Hadrut in the period of 26-27 November.
The investigation of the “criminal case” initiated against the 13 captured Armenian servicemen has been completed and sent to court.
It is noted that the so-called investigation is underway against Hovhannisyan Haykaz Koryun, Manukyan Varazdat Amushavan, Stepanyan David Stepan), Tosunyan Levon Ashot and nine others.
