Russian peacekeepers have begun supplying water to residents of three settlements in Askeran

Russian peacekeepers have begun providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Artsakh by supplying water to settlements in the Askeran region, whose wells have dried up. As reported by RIA Novosti, food management officer Dmitry Pashkin told reporters.

“Peacekeeping forces are designed not only to restrain the conflicting parties, but also to assist the locals. We were contacted from the Askeran region about the lack of clean drinking water. That is why we are here. We came to help. This is not a one-time action. We will regularly assist local residents in bringing clean drinking water,” Pashkin said.

It should be reminded that on 9 November, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint statement on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh. The war was stopped on 10 November at 01:00. Russian peacekeepers entered Nagorno Karabakh.
