Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres discussed the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone by telephone on Friday. The press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Guterres has expressed serious concern over rising tensions in the region, including the deaths of civilians, and called for a humanitarian ceasefire.
“The UN Secretary-General also noted the need for a political settlement of the conflict,” the statement said.
