Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev demands apology from France for Emanuel Macron’s statement on the involvement of Syrian militants in the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“We have no mercenaries, we have an army of 100,000 fighters. I urge France to apologize and take a more responsible stance,” Aliyev said in an interview with Al Arabiya.
It should be noted that Russia, Iran and, indirectly, the United States have also confirmed the existence of mercenaries.
