By Nikol Pashinyan’s Decision, Anna Zhamakochyan has been appointed to the Post of the of Deputy Minister

On 2 July, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision stating:

“Pursuant to Article 9, Part 1 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Public Service, to appoint Anna Zhamakochyan to the position of the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.”

Below is her biography:

She was born in 1981.

In 1998-2004, she studied at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sociology and Psychology of Yerevan State University.

From 2012 to 2014, she studied at the Institute of Contemporary Art and is an art critic.

In 2012-2016, she was an aspirant at the Chair of Applied Sociology at Yerevan State University.

Since 2019, she has been studying at the Department of Translation Certification of the American University of Armenia.

Since 2008, she has been the co-founder, co-chair and researcher of the “Socioscope” NGO.

In 2018-2020, she was the chairperson of “Socioscope” NGO.

In 2009-2016, she was a researcher and head of the Information Research Center of the “Noravank” Scientific and Educational Foundation.

Since 2014, she has been teaching at YSU Faculty of Sociology.

She is the author of dozens of research and educational drafts.

Fluent in English and Russian.
