Salary of the Judge for 2013

Salary of the judge is  comprised of the official pay rate and supplements.

 

The official pay rate of a judge is prescribed by law.

 

Pursuant to Article 9 (5) of the RA Law on the State Budget for 2013, the official pay rate for the judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of the Republic of Armenia is 478,405.0 AMD.

 

Accordingly:
1) The official pay rates of judges of the administrative court shall be 15% greater than the official pay rate of a Court of General Jurisdiction judge;

 

2) The official pay rates of judges of appellate courts shall be 30% greater than the official pay rate of a Court of General Jurisdiction judge;

 

3) The official pay rates of judges of the Cassation Court shall be 50% greater than the official pay rate of a Court of General Jurisdiction judge;

 

4) A court chairman shall receive a monetary supplement in the amount of 25% of the official pay rate, and a Chamber Chairman of the Cassation Court shall receive a monetary supplement in the amount of 15% of the official pay rate;

 

5) A supplement shall be paid to each judge for his experience as a judge: 2% for each of the first five years (a total of 10%), and 5% for the sixth year and each year thereafter.

 

A judge’s salary and supplements may not be reduced during the judge’s term of office. This rule shall not preclude the possibility of temporarily reducing salaries in case of disciplinary sanctions.

 

P.S. As compared with the past year we may notice a small growth.
