On the Victory and Peace Day, President Armen Sarkissian had a telephone conversation with Margarita Darbinyan-Melikyan, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War.
The President congratulated the Armenian woman who took part in the war on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and sent her warm best wishes.
President Sarkissian greatly appreciated the participation of our people in the Great Patriotic War and World War II, noting that the victory was achieved through the joint efforts of the peoples of the Soviet Union. The President said that the veterans of the Patriotic War are a living textbook of patriotism for today’s and tomorrow’s generations.
On 18 March, the President of the Republic also had had a telephone conversation with Margarita Darbinyan-Melikyan, congratulating her on her 100th birthday.
