Non-governmental organizations can be involved in entrepreneurship, but in what order and what type of income they are going to pay, it is still uncertain. Susanne Soghomonyan, Coordinator of CSO-Government Dialogue of the “Commitment Constructive to Dialogue” project, spoke about this today at training for Yerevan NGO representatives.
He noted that the SRC has been offered to establish a working group to consider and discuss these issues, to avoid problems with the tax authorities in the future.
Until February 4 of the next year, NGOs should review their statutes, bring them into compliance with the new law and register them free of charge in the State Register of Legal Entities.
Miss Soghomonyan mentioned that within the framework of this program, legal advice and assistance are provided to NGOs to harmonize their statutes with the law and register them in the State Register. Already about 300 NGOs have been consulted and more than 50 NGO statutes have been registered.
The participants emphasized the importance of holding such trainings, noting that it is effective for further activities in the legal field without any obstacles. At the end of the training a number of NGO representatives were registered for legal advice.
It should be noted that trainings and free legal consultations are held in Yerevan, Shirak, Syunik, Lori and Gegharkunik regions are conducted in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project, which is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO in cooperation with its partners; Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), Armenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS, “International Center for Human Development” Public Organization, SME Cooperation Association and Union of Communities of Armenia.
