The verdict on Misak Martirosyan and others took place last week. The Ex-Head of the Judicial Department Misak Martirosyan and his first Deputy Gegham Grigoryan were sentenced to 6 years imprisonment.
Gegham Grigoryan’s lawyer Tigran Atanesyan reported: “The cruelest punishment was implemented to Gegham Grigoryan. It is very odd because if the court considered it as a criminal group then the organizer must be sentenced to 3 years and set free at the court room; maybe he was the price of it because he testified against everybody and my defendant who came to Armenia and testified truthfully got the cruelest punishment.”
The Defense intends to file an appeal the verdict of the First Instance Court.
