The RA Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan shares the concerns that the RA Criminal Code should be discussed at the National Assembly as soon as possible. “The Criminal Code is currently in the National Assembly, the Government is the author of the draft, however it is essential what pace would the NA fix to consider it. I am concerned with this and will do everything so that the pace will get slow, and we manage to do everything in line till the end of 2015,” said the Minister of Justice in reply to Iravaban.net’s question.
This Code has a really important role from the aspect of introduction of the probation service. Mr. Manukyan noted that a number of legal documents that are necessary for introduction of the probation service should be amended at the same time. “Directly the Criminal Procedure Code, the Criminal Code, the Penal Code, the Law on Probation Service, should be synchronized,” said the Minister.
