Based on the report of the prisoner of the RA “Artik” Penitentiary V.Y, the RA Special Investigation Service initiated a criminal case based on the prepared materials under Paragraph 1 of Article 308 of the RA Criminal Code.
According to the report, in early September 2013 the policemen of Kumari Police Department of the RA Shirak Marz Police, using their official position, first tried to persuade him through financial incentive, and then with the threats to imitate persecution for a crime that he had not committed, recommended to confess in undisclosed serious offense and to be convicted for it.
After receiving Lyova S.’s consent the policemen showed him the place of the undisclosed robbery and asked him to show it during the investigation as the place of the crime that he had committed.
Special Investigation Service informs that prejudicial inquiry is in process.
Note. Everyone charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty by the court verdict lawfully entered into force as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code.
