“From Colour to Idea – From Idea to Colour” Exhibition by Artist Albert Hakobyan to Take Place

From June 6-22, The Yerevan Museum of Contemporary Art will host a solo exhibition titled “From Colour to Idea – From Idea to Colour” by artist Albert Hakobyan, showcasing works created by the artist from the 1990s to the present day.

The exhibition opening is scheduled for June 6 at 5:30 PM. Visitors will be able to explore the diverse works created by the painter over the years, which reflect his artistic development journey.

About the Artist

Albert Hakobyan was born on January 1, 1958, in Etchmiadzin and graduated from the Panos Terlemezian Art College of Yerevan in 1981. His creative path has been accompanied by numerous recognitions, including the “Vahagn” award granted in 2002.

The painter’s works have found their place in Armenia’s leading cultural institutions, including the National Gallery of Armenia, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Yerevan, the funds of the RA Ministry of Culture, the Khrimian Museum of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Arame Gallery, and the Boyajian Arts Center.

Albert Hakobyan has repeatedly presented his works through solo exhibitions at the National Center for Aesthetics, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Yerevan, as well as at Gevorgyan Gallery.

The painter’s art is also known on the international stage. From 1994-2015, he participated in numerous republican and international exhibitions, representing Armenian art in Switzerland, Lebanon, Russia, Argentina, Brazil, the USA, Iran, Germany, Georgia, Syria, Kuwait, and Austria.
