The Criminal Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan city, chaired by Judge Vahe Misakyan, published the verdict in the case of the Third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, the owner of “Flash” LLC Barsegh Beglaryan, and the former Head of the Plant Breeding Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Gevorg Harutyunyan.

According to the verdict, they were acquitted of the charge. Their measures of restraint were eliminated, the civil suit was rejected.

Notably there are 3 defendants in the criminal case.

According to the indictment, in the period of 25 January through 7 February, organized by the Third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on the initiative of the owner of “Flash” LLC Barsegh Beglaryan, with the assistance of the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the RA Samvel Galstyan and the former Minister of Agriculture of the RA Sergo Karapetyan, a particularly large amount of subsidy – 489,160,310 drams allocated for 15,391,765 liters of diesel fuel was wasted from the reserve fund of the RA Government.
