The member of the Supreme Judicial Council, Hayk Grigoryan, asked Vahe Grigoryan, the candidate of the Republic of Armenia for the position of judge of the European Court of Human Rights, the judge of the Constitutional Court, the first question during the interview stage.

According to Iravaban.net, he asked the candidate to remember how many cases related to the protection of human rights he had participated in and which was the most complicated of them.

Vahe Grigoryan noted the case of 9 victims of 1 March, 2008.

“We asked the court to place a ban on the use of military means during police operations in general, when it does not refer to special situations, such as terrorism.

The use of military means did not have any reason or justification; it did not have any compatibility with the principle of proportionality. The weapons used were combat weapons, which caused the murders,” Vahe Grigoryan noted.
