The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia announced that one diplomat of the Russian Embassy was declared persona non grata and ordered to leave the country by 10 April.
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia has decided to declare persona non grata to one diplomat of the Russian Embassy, the Russian diplomat must leave Latvia by the end of 10 April,” the website of the Latvian Foreign Ministry informs.
The reason for the expulsion is that the Russian Embassy “continues incorrect public communication with the aim of discrediting the state institutions and authorities of the Latvian State and sowing hatred among the Latvian society”.
