The investigative measures revealed that the leader of the terrorists was Shamsidin Fariduni, the curators contacted him during their stay in Turkey. Fariduni was the only one with whom the same “preacher” who ordered the mass murder of people for money had contact.

According to the SHOT source, Fariduni arrived in Moscow on 4 March. It was he who received instructions and briefed the rest of the terrorists – conveyed “lessons”, assigned roles and provided them with the final plan from the curator. Before starting the planning, the accused did not know each other, they lived in different places.

500 thousand rubles, as Fariduni stated during interrogation, this was the final “fee” for the terrorist attack, which they had to divide among four. When detained, the citizen of Tajikistan was confused about exactly how much they were supposed to pay – a million or half a million. In total, the terrorists received an advance payment from the curator – 250 thousand rubles on Fariduni’s card; the transfers were carried out in several transactions.

Fariduni appeared in Crocus on 7 March – he was photographed by a local photographer. In total, he and barber Fayzov visited the concert venue at least five times before the terrorist attack.
