Ankara expects that Armenia will show a stable will to establish peace in the region, instead of delaying the peace process. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated this while answering the questions of Turkish journalists.

According to him, it is time for peace to be established in Karabakh under the sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and it is the duty of Armenia to contribute to its establishment and maintenance.

The head of Turkey added that the opening of the “Zangezur Corridor”, which is very important for Turkey and Azerbaijan, is a strategic issue and must be implemented.

Let’s remind that: RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated more than once that in the tripartite declaration, only the Lachin corridor is planned with a certain limitation of sovereignty, no corridor through the territory of Armenia is planned.

On 13 September, he announced in the National Assembly that at the same time the Prime Minister addressed the issue of unblocking regional communications, stressing that Armenia is in favor of reopening the Horadiz-Meghri-Ordubad-Yeraskh railway and considers it an important project for our country. Armenia is also in favor of opening the regional routes.
