Unfortunately, the invitation sent by the office of the President of Azerbaijan was rejected by the “separatist regime” (quotes from Iravaban.net).
Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President’s Office, said at a briefing held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Baku.
“The socio-economic integration program of Azerbaijan is ready. The plan was prepared with the relevant authorities,” he said.
Hajiyev also stated that Azerbaijan has received guarantees for the disarmament of Armenian troops in Karabakh. “We have received guarantees that the Armenian armed forces in the Karabakh region will disarm leave their positions, and all military equipment will be transferred to Azerbaijan.”
Baku believes that there is no need to use special UN mechanisms to resolve the situation in Karabakh.
Hajiyev also claimed that Azerbaijan did not cause any damage to the civilian population and civilian objects of Karabakh. However, the Artsakh side presented numerous proofs of this.
