I spoke to Azerbaijani President Aliyev yesterday to express our deep concern for the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Nagorno-Karabakh.  US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken wrote on his Twitter microblog.

“The United States urges all sides to continue dialogue to reach a durable peace agreement,” Blinken wrote.

Let’s remind that Azerbaijan closed the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia, the Lachin Corridor, from 12 December, 2022. On 23 April, Azerbaijan illegally placed a checkpoint in the corridor, taking it completely under its control.
