Lusine Gevorgyan, member of Yerevan Council of Elders addressed the issue of garbage collection in Yerevan on her Facebook page. She writes:

“Dear citizens of Yerevan,

The activities of Yerevan Waste Removal and Sanitary Cleaning are incomplete in terms of garbage collection.

The problem is the re-equipment of the rolling stock, which is carried out in an emergency mode. As a member of the Council of Elders and as a citizen of Yerevan, I fully share your concern regarding the current situation. I would like to inform that on an hourly basis everything is being done to eliminate the problem a as soon as possible.

I ask for your forgiveness for the inconvenience caused and inform that I am personally in contact with the director of the community institution and am following the course of affairs.
