Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced on 9 January that Tehran will not accept any changes in the geopolitical borders in the Caucasus region. IRNA agency writes.

It is noted that he made this statement during a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova and the Speaker of the Parliament of Turkey Mustafa Sentop.

“We can have good relations with each other in the regional and global arena, and the closer the countries in the region are, the better it is for the region. We should not allow non-regional countries to interfere in this area,” Ghalibaf emphasized.

He further emphasized: “We will not accept any geopolitical changes to the border [in the Caucasus region].”
