The UN Security Council is discussing the situation in the Lachin Corridor.

Norway’s representative said in her speech that blocking the Lachin Corridor has already had severe humanitarian consequences from the medical point of view.

“We call on all parties to adhere to the provisions of the tripartite statement of 9 November, 2020. We call on Azerbaijan in advance to guarantee safe movement along the Lachin Corridor. It is not in anyone’s interest to create a difficult humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. A solution should be reached through diplomatic methods. We call on the parties to show maximum restraint and return to the negotiation table without preconditions,” she said.
