A 4-months-old severely-ill baby is in intensive care in the Arevik hospital in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh).
Arevik hospital director Karen Melkumyan told Armenpress that already two days ago the child had to be taken to Armenia for treatment, but due to the Azerbaijani blockade they are unable to do so.
“That’s why we began the treatment here, in consultation with our colleagues in Yerevan. Right now, even if the road were to be opened today, it is a question whether or not the child would be able to overcome that distance in this even more difficult and complicated condition,” Karen Melkumyan said.
Let us add that, as we have already stated, today, through the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, a man born in 1960 with cardiac pathology was transferred from the “Republican Medical Center” of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh to a specialized medical center of the Republic of Armenia.

They set up tents and brought stoves.
Hundreds of citizens, including minors, cannot return home, some of them temporarily stayed in Syunik Marz.
The transport connection of Lisagor, Mets Shen, Hin Shen and Yegtsahogh villages of Shushi region with the capital Stepanakert is interrupted.
