Pope Francis expressed concern about the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh after Azerbaijan closed the Lachin Corridor, Vaticannews reports.
It is noted that since 12 December, Azerbaijan has closed the Lachin Corridor, which is the only highway connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia. “Around 120,000 people, including 30,000 children, are isolated and deprived of food, medicine and other vital needs. On Sunday, the Pope called on all parties to find a solution for the benefit of the people,” the publication said.
Let us remind you that from 12 December until now, Azerbaijan continues to close the only highway connecting Artsakh to the world, the Lachin Corridor, citing false environmental reasons.
