Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Tehran, Ali Alizadeh, was summoned  to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran. The reason is the long-term anti-Iranian propaganda in Azerbaijan and the unfriendly statements made by high-ranking Azerbaijani officials towards Tehran.

The ambassador was informed that Iran expects that all this will be put to an end as soon as possible and necessary steps will be taken to prevent such phenomena in the future.

The message does not specify which statements from Azerbaijan provoked the anger of the Iranian authorities.

Let’s remind that the other day the president of Azerbaijan said in the occupied Shushi, referring to Iran. “We are the dictator here; we are the main force here. Our army has shown heroism, professionalism and self-sacrifice. If necessary, we will show it again and achieve what we want. Everyone knows that, those who are conducting military exercises on our borders in support of Armenia should know that too. No one can scare us.”
