This conflict has been going on for a decade; it must end at some point: Putin to Pashinyan

Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in Sochi during a bilateral meeting with RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The meeting is taking place at the “Rus” sanatorium in Sochi, where Putin traditionally welcomes foreign guests. RIA Novosti writes.

The President of Russia emphasized that the main issues now are the provision of peace and stability in the region, as well as the unblocking of transport infrastructures. According to him, this long-standing confrontation must be ended.

“We see our partners’ approaches to what is happening on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and around Karabakh. This conflict has been going on for a decade, that’s why it has to end at some point anyway, do you agree with this, I know you have the political will for it, and we support it in every way.” Putin said.

The head of Russia also noted the importance of identifying key points at the upcoming tripartite summit, which will help move forward in solving this problem.

As we have already informed, a tripartite meeting of the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan is also planned.
