As a result of the aggression of 12 May, 2021 and 13 September, 2022, Azerbaijan occupied the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia, and Azerbaijani troops must withdraw from the sovereign territory of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a joint statement made after negotiations with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace.

The Prime Minister thanked the French President for reaffirming this position. He also drew the attention of the international community and the President of France to the fact that the speculations that there is no fixed border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, because the border is not demarcated and delimited are not in line with reality.
