The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, made a post on his Twitter microblog, in which it is said:
“Reports about the fighting on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border are extremely worrying. Need a complete and sustainable ceasefire. There is no alternative to peace and stability, – and there is no alternative to diplomacy to ensure rhat.”
He also wrote that EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borel asked Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia crisis, to travel to Baku and Yerevan on preventing further escalation.
