Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas as stated that the last leader of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, who died on August 30, was a criminal.
“He was a criminal who ordered the brutal suppression of peaceful demonstrations in Vilnius, Tbilisi, Alma-Ata, Baku and other cities. There was no repentance. Although the dead are either well spoken of or not at all, such memories remain. Well, not this time. The only positive thing is that he signed the document on the capitulation of the Soviet Union,” Anushauskas wrote on the Facebook social network.
Let’s remind that Gorbachev died at the age of 92 due to a serious illness.
