No criminal case was initiated against Varadan Ghukasyan, ex-mayor of Gyumri City, for the fact of contempt of court. Mr. Karen Shahbazyan, Prosecutor of Shirak Marz informed to Iravaban.net.
At the trial on the case of the murder of Vardan Ghukasyan’s son-in law Karen Ysayan, the defendant’s attorney Lusine Sahakyan had introduced a motion with request to initiate criminal case against Vardan Ghukasyan for the fact of contempt of court. Lusine Sahakyan informed this to Iravaban.net.
The attorney had introduced a motion on calling Vardan Ghukasyan to the inquiry once more as well. The court had met the motion.
“The court hearing was delayed to provide Varadan Ghukasyan opportunity to come to the court once more. I am not aware what the continuation will be,” said the attorney.
