Russia is determined to support the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.  Maria Zakharova the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated referring to the issue of a possible peace treaty, TASS News Agency reports.

“Consistent steps are needed to restore lasting peace and stability in the region as the United States and France cease to cooperate as co-chairs. In this regard, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Igor Khovaev will continue his work in his new position, that is, the Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the promotion of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. “He will focus on preparing the above-mentioned peace treaty,” the diplomat said.
