The Kremlin positively assessed the positions of the Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities to start a peace negotiation process. Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the Russian President announced.
Answering the relevant question, he said “positive”, TASS informs.
“It is clear that the process will be very, very tedious, but the progress in signing such a document is already a positive fact in itself,” he said.
It should be reminded that as a result of the trilateral meeting of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Brussels on 6 April, an agreement was reached in accordance with the Sochi agreement of 26 November, 2021, to establish by the end of April a bilateral commission on delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which will also have the authority to ensure security and stability along the border.
The Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan instructed the Foreign Ministers to start preparations for peace talks between the two countries.
