Citizens of Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelensky will be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. This is mentioned in the announcement posted on the website of the Award Committee.
Former and current European politicians took the initiative. Politicians have announced the need to extend the nomination of Nobel Peace Prize nominees until 31 March this year, “in light of historic, unprecedented events.”
“Millions of families live in fear; their homes are threatened by bombings, the occupier army. We are witnessing the courage of the people of Ukraine, who are against the war with the Russian Federation. It’s time to show the people, Ukraine, that the world is by their side,” the organizers said.
The statement was signed by 36 politicians, most of them from the Netherlands.
