During the 18 days of special military operations in Ukraine, the Russian army destroyed 3736 infrastructure facilities of the Ukrainian military. The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov stated today, on 13 March, RIA Novosti reports.
“In total, 100 planes, 139 drones, 1234 tanks and other armored vehicles, 122 multiple missile systems, 452 field artillery shells, 10 units of special military equipment were destroyed during the operation,” Konashenkov said.
It should be reminded that early in the morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine, aimed at ensuring the security of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as removing the “Nazi regime” in Ukraine.
The United States and the European Union have described Russia’s move as a direct aggression by Russia against Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
