Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had a telephone conversation, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“They continued to discuss Ukraine,” Peskov told reporters.
In recent days, Putin has repeatedly talked to the leaders of other countries and international organizations, discussing, among other issues, the situation in Ukraine.
In particular, talks were held with the leaders of Egypt, Israel, India, Senegal, as well as with the President of the European Council.
It should be reminded that on the morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine, aimed at ensuring the security of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as removing the “Nazi regime” in Ukraine.
The US and the EU have assessed Russia’s move as a direct aggression by Russia against Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
