The introduction of a special and martial law on the territory of the Russian Federation is not planned, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday at a meeting with women flight crews of Russian airlines, TASS News Agency reports.
Putin stressed that martial law is imposed in the country in case of foreign aggression, including in specific areas of hostilities.
“We do not have such a situation, I hope it will not happen. As for the state of emergency, it is defined in case of some large-scale internal threats. “As a rule, the state of emergency is introduced in case of man-made disasters, natural disasters, thank God, there is no such thing, we do not plan to introduce any special provision in the territory of the Russian Federation,” he said, adding that attempts are made to shock Russian society.

It should be reminded that in the early morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a message announcing the decision to launch a special military operation in Donbas.
“Circumstances require us to take decisive and immediate action. The Donbas People’s Republics have appealed to Russia. I have decided to launch a special military operation in this regard,” Putin said in a televised address to Russian citizens.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that from 5:00 am (7:00 am Yerevan time) on Thursday, the Russian Armed Forces carried out intensive attacks on Ukrainian military facilities and airports.
The VerkhovnaRada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
