The “Civil Contract” Faction of the National Assembly nominated Levon Sahakyan for the post of a member of the Central Bank Board.
He was elected with 69 votes in favor and 1 against.
Levon Sahakyan studied at the Yerevan State Institute of Economics, holds a PhD in Economics and holds an associate professor degree. In 2019 he was accepted to the doctorate on Finance and Accountancy of the ASUE. He is an author of more than 14 scientific publications and is the co-author of a textbook.
