Macron talked to Putin and Zelensky

Today, French President Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The telephone conversation lasted 1.5 hours.

According to AFP, after the conversation with Putin, the French President had a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

Putin told Macron that Russia’s “special military operation” in Ukraine would be carried out anyway. He detailed Macron’s Russian conditions in the context of negotiations with Kiev’s representatives. First of all, the demilitarization of Ukraine and a neutral status so that it will never be a threat to Russia.

Putin called on France to join efforts to ensure the safe evacuation of foreign nationals from Ukraine. He also said that the allegations about the alleged rocket attacks and bombings in other Ukrainian cities were not true; they were elements of an anti-Russian disinformation campaign.

It should be reminded that in the early morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a message announcing the decision to launch a special military operation in Donbas.

“Circumstances require us to take decisive and immediate action. The Donbas People’s Republics have appealed to Russia. I have decided to launch a special military operation in this regard,” Putin said in a televised address to Russian citizens.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that from 5:00 am (7:00 am Yerevan time) on Thursday, the Russian Armed Forces carried out intensive attacks on Ukrainian military facilities and airports.
