Zelensky refused to negotiate with Russia in Belarus

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that other cities could be a platform for negotiations with the Russian Federation, but not Belarus, as, according to him, aggressive actions are taking place from the territory of that Republic.

“Now we say no to Minsk, other cities can be a platform for a meeting, of course, we want peace, we want to meet, and we want the end of the war. Warsaw, Bratislava, Budapest, Istanbul, Baku ․․․

This is all we have offered to the Russian side. In a country where no missiles fly. “Only in this way can the talks be honest and can really end the war,” Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel, RIA Novosti reported .

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Moscow delegation was already in Gomel.

The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, a number of other departments, as well as the administration of the President.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry, in turn, noted that they have prepared everything necessary for the meeting and are now engaged in resolving protocol issues.

Earlier, Zelensky offered to sit at the negotiating table. The press secretary of the Russian President said that Russia is ready to send its delegation to Minsk for talks with Ukraine.

Peskov later said that the Ukrainian side announced the reconsideration of the idea of holding talks with the Russian Federation in Minsk, choosing Warsaw.
