The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports that one border guard was killed in a rocket attack on the border posts near the village of Preobrazhenka in the Kherson region of Crimea.
In the city of Podolsk, Odessa region, 6 people were killed, 7 wounded and 19 were missing, in Mariupol, 1 victim and 2 wounded.
As of Thursday morning, the Ukrainian energy system is working without interruptions; all facilities are under tight control, the press service of “Ukrenergo” company reported.
“The Ukrainian power system is disconnected from the power systems of the Russian Federation and Belarus. The frequency in the system is 50 Hz. All the objects of the network operate under enhanced security, the operative dispatching staff is in their place,” the message reads.
It should be reminded that in the early morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a message announcing the decision to launch a special military operation in Donbas.
“Circumstances require us to take decisive and immediate action. The Donbass People’s Republics have appealed to Russia. “I have decided to launch a special military operation in this regard,” Putin said in a televised address to Russian citizens.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that from 05:00 (07:00 Yerevan time) on Thursday, the Russian Armed Forces carried out intensive attacks on Ukrainian military facilities and airports.
The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
