The Turkish Ministry of National Defense has announced that six Kurdish militants have been neutralized in northern Iraq.
“Our fight against terrorism continues effectively and decisively. Six PKK militants found in northern Iraq have been neutralized,” the ministry said in a statement, RIA Novosti reported.
It should be noted that the armed conflict with the PKK in Turkey resumed in 2015. There are PKK bases in northern Iraq, against which the Turkish armed forces are conducting air and ground operations. Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that 6,000 PKK members had been killed since July 2015.
