On 17 December, 2021, the Anti-Corruption Committee signed a contract with “Toyota Yerevan” LLC, by which it purchased a car for the Committee.
The contract was signed through one-person government purchases, i.e. without a tender.
The purchase amounted to 18 million 400 thousand drams (about USD 37,000).

According to the contract, the engine oil must be replaced with the factory oil for this car during maintenance.
The supplier must have: auto parts / chassis, body parts / warehouse or shop, all workshops needed for repair (chassis, electricity, lubrication, tire adjustment, vulcanization, injector repair, steering wheel, engine, gearbox, rear axles’ repair, car diagnostics and other necessary equipment and services, as well as other such as welding and body painting).
Regarding the purchase of the car, in response to a written inquiry of Iravaban.net about the make of the car, the Anti-Corruption Committee answered that it is not expedient to disclose its make, as the car has a special significance. “Soon 9 cars will be purchased as well” the Anti-Corruption Committee informed.
Iravaban.net also reports that according to the information received from the Agency for State Register of Legal Entities of the RA Ministry of Justice, the list of owners of “Toyota Yerevan” LLC includes Sedrak Kocharyan, the eldest son of the second President of the RA Robert Kocharyan, businessman Samvel Mayrapetyan, against whom a criminal case is currently initiated.
