Azerbaijan has handed over to Russian peacekeepers the Armenian resident who had got lost in the border zone.
Azerbaijan handed over to Russian peacekeepers a resident of Armenia who got lost in the border zone, the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.
“On January 13, at around 16:00 (15:00 Moscow time), Surik Matevosyan got lost and crossed into the territory of Azerbaijan at the section of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border in the Lachin region. He was handed over to Russian peacekeepers,” the report says.
Earlier, Armenian media reported that a local resident who was engaged in grazing cattle disappeared in the Syunik region bordering Azerbaijan.
