The students of the High School of Polytechnic University won 5 medals at the International Physics Olympiad

The International Al-Farghani Physics Olympiad kicked off in the Republic of Uzbekistan on 8 November. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Olympiad was held remotely. The National Polytechnic University of Armenia reported. The Olympiad was held in 2 main stages: theoretical and experimental.

“We are happy to announce that the students of the High School of Polytechnic University took part in this Olympiad, winning 5 medals; one silver and four bronze.

Artashes Mkrtchyan, a 12th grade student at the high school, won a silver medal, and his classmate, Armen Episkoposyan, and 11th grade students, Gevorg Zadoyan, Grigor Hovhannisyan, and Hovsep Karapetyan were awarded bronze medals.

“Like previous achievements in the Physics Olympiad, this achievement is largely due to the day-to-day work of Alfred Petrosyan, the Director of the High School of Polytechnic University and head of the Olympic Physics Group, who contributes with his experience and knowledge to the school students’ success in international Olympiads and competitions” the announcement reads.
