Fifty-six countries of the world informed the World Health Organization (WHO) last week of more than 10 percent increase in deaths from COVID-19. This was announced on Thursday at a briefing in Geneva by WHO Director General Tedros Adan Ghebreyesus. “TASS” reported.
“Last week, 56 countries from all regions reported a more than 10% increase in deaths from COVID-19,” he said.
WHO has reported more than 5 million deaths, but “the real number is higher,” Gebreyesus said. “We are losing more than 50,000 of our sisters and brothers every week,” he said.
