The prosecutor at court confirmed the fact of initiating a criminal court on the fact of selling the bay under the pretense of passing the child to the care of another person by a woman resident of Lori marz.

According to evidence obtained during the pre-trial proceedings: on 13 March 2011, Rima, resident of Lori marz agreed with A.K. resident of Akhtala city, on the issue of passing her baby born on 26 January 2010, for 3.500 the USD. According to the materials of the criminal case the mother got 1000 USD equivalent to 367.850 AMD. She took the remaining part of the sum after passing the baby on 22 March 2012, in Vanadzor city.

According to the information from the RA Prosecutor’s Office, the mother was charged under the requirements of Part 1 of Article 168 of the RA Criminal Code, based on the evidence obtained by the investigation department of Tumanyan Police department. The Criminal case was sent to the Court of the First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Lori marz.

Note. Everyone charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty by the court verdict lawfully entered into force as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code.
